Character Biography
Lady Shirin Varaz is a holder from the Planet Oris. Her holdings run along the Jad-Gheinok coast. They are mostly unremarkable for the region aside from featuring a significant investment in equestrian sports and slaver hound breeding.
Lady Varaz has been a holder since YC 70, when her mother passed away. At that point, she was already married to the neighboring Holder Gaven Lok'ri, who is now Chapter Master of the Excubitoris Chapter of the Sacred Throne Order. She is the matriarchal figure of the rapidly growing Lok'ri-Varaz Family.
Unlike Chapter Master Lok'ri, Shirin has not had much interest in the world outside of the Amarr System. Until YC118 she was known for running several social events at her estate, focusing heavily on equestrian hunting and display riding.
Her life was disrupted massively by the events of the reign of the Empress Catiz. The events surrounding the trials led Chapter Master Lok'ri to remove their entire family to secure locations in preparation for a potential civil war. While that war never materialised, their caution was rewarded when the Varaz-Lok'ri family was not harmed by the deathglow attacks on the Varaz estate that occurred in YC120.
Somewhat resentful of how much Gaven's political success has cost her personally, and after the decree of the Theology Council that capsuleers souls were not damaged, Lady Varaz enlisted in Capsuleer training so that she could regain freedom of movement without fear of future assassination attempts.
