Character Biography
Rayan Bekh was raised on Mateber III, a barren world orbiting a dying red sun in the far eastern reaches of Minmatar space. Life there was stripped to its essentials—sand, ash, and survival. His earliest memories are of hunger, of rust-colored storms biting at his skin, and of whispered stories about freedom told by the fireside. His tribe had escaped an Amarrian slave colony in a blood-soaked uprising, carving out a fragile existence in the industrial ruins of a failed settlement—a world that was never terraformed, only strip-mined and left to rot.
The Republic gave little. The stars gave less. But one day, luck—or perhaps fate—intervened. A derelict data node buried in the sand led him to a forgotten Minmatar deep-space comm relay, which he reactivated using scavenged components. The resulting signal caught the attention of a research vessel from the Institute of Exploration, and Rayan was given a one-way transport to the Republic University in Hulm.
Reserved, calculating, and burning with a sense of unfinished justice, Rayan quickly rose through the capsuleer program. He has since pledged himself to the stars—not to fight for the Republic’s flag, but to pursue freedom, opportunity, and vengeance across the uncharted corners of space.
