Character Biography

I am Kyrhyl Zerthani, a capsuleer caught between two worlds yet fully belonging to neither. My story begins with my parents—a union as improbable as it was profound. My father was a Gurista pirate, infamous across New Eden for his cunning and daring. My mother, a Minmatar citizen, was a survivor of the Amarr's iron grip, deeply rooted in the culture and traditions of her people. Their lives collided during one of my father’s escapes, and against all odds, I was born.

Growing up, I lived in the shadow of my father’s choices and under the weight of my mother’s expectations. My father’s world was one of danger and unpredictability. When he was around, he would fill my head with stories of the stars, of daring heists, and of life beyond the rigid structures of society. My mother, by contrast, was a grounding force. She taught me the history of our people, the pride of the Minmatar clans, and the importance of loyalty and resilience.

But my dual heritage came at a cost. The Minmatar clans viewed me with suspicion, labeling me “the pirate’s child” and treating me as an outsider. At the same time, my father’s enemies saw me as a weakness, a target to exploit. These experiences hardened me. I learned to fight for my place, to adapt, and to embrace both sides of my lineage as sources of strength rather than shame.

When I came of age, I knew the stars were calling me. Becoming a capsuleer was my way of rising above the limitations of my origins. The training was grueling, and the prejudices I faced didn’t disappear overnight. Many questioned my loyalty, especially with my Gurista bloodline hanging over me like a shadow. But I persevered, determined to prove that I was more than the sum of my parents’ lives.

Now, I pilot my ship with purpose and resolve. Every journey I undertake is a step toward uncovering the truths of my father’s past and honoring the resilience of my mother’s people. I’ve learned to navigate the complex politics and moral ambiguities of New Eden, balancing the cunning I inherited from my father with the principles instilled by my mother.

I am Kyrhyl Zerthani—a Minmatar capsuleer with the heart of a freedom fighter and the mind of a survivor. My path is my own, and I will chart my course through the stars, no matter the challenges that await.
