Character Biography
Soburo Togasa – Director of Labor and Resources
The head of the Togasa family, Soburo Togasa, began his rise within the Amarr Empire as a gifted pilot admitted to the prestigious Royal College of Exploration. From the beginning, his career seemed destined for greatness. He excelled at charting wormholes, surveying resource fields, and braving the unknown expanses where Amarr ambition collided with the frontier. His talent for discovery earned him recognition, honors, and a promising future among the Empire’s elite.
Yet during his duties, Soburo made the fateful choice that would define the rest of his life: he fell in love with a Gallente capsuleer, a relationship that defied Amarr cultural and political norms. Their union resulted in the birth of a child, kept secret for years, the infant raised by her mother. For a time, Soburo balanced his double life—dutiful officer to the Empire and hidden father to a life beyond its rigid order.
The secret unraveled when a former colleague, once trusted, exposed him while they both vied for promotion. The ensuing scandal was catastrophic. The Amarr stripped Soburo of his titles, honors, and prestige, branding him a traitor to both family and faith. In an act of cruelty, even his exploration knowledge and technical mastery were forcibly extracted, fed into the Amarr war machine,
Disgraced and broken, Soburo chose his own punishment: voluntary stasis, a self-imposed exile that would remove him from the world rather than face its judgment. What he did not know was that, when he entered cryosleep, his Gallente lover was already pregnant with their second child, Kim Togasa.
Decades passed. In his absence, the Togasa name fell into ruin, burdened by debt and shame. It was only through the determination of his daughters, Denegrah and Kim, that the family’s corporation was reclaimed and its debts repaid. With their sacrifice, Soburo was awakened from his long slumber.
Returned to the world older, diminished, and bereft of much of the knowledge that once defined him, Soburo did not seek to reclaim his throne. Instead, he installed his youngest daughter, Kim Togasa, as the new CEO of Togasa Industries, while he accepted the lesser role of Director of Labor and Resources, To many, this was a humiliating fall. To Soburo, it was both penance and necessity.
But beneath this humility lies a deeper ambition. Revenge against his enemies.
