Character Biography
We are focused on providing reasonable tax rates for your planetary industriy needs and for helping new players trying PI.
POCO NPC default tax rate:
High Sec : 10%
Low Sec: 0%
Null Sec: 0%
Wormhole: 0%
Can be lowered by training skill Custom Code Expertise under Trade skills. Reduces taxes 10% per skill level) At level 5 the NPC tax rate will be 5%.
PI Tip: While looking at a planet in the PI view mode, you can right click and choose "Show other character's networks." After you'll see small commander center icons. If you left click the player's base you can see their building and extractors layout If you right click their base you can see the owner's name.
PI Tip #2: Advanced Planetary Materials (P4) can only be produced on Barren and Temperate planets from the building "High-Tech Production Plant." It's especially important to find low tax Pocos since you'll be importing materials to the planet.
PI Tip #3: When right clicking on a planet you can click "Show Info" and then click the "Attributes" tab. The one attribute you want to focus on is the planet's radius. The larger the planet the more your Power and CPU the links will use when linking your buildings. This is especailly important when placing your extractors.
PI Tip # 4: In additon to the previous tip if you're trying to utilize every power to squeeze in that last extractor head but are just short of power, try linking your extractor head to a nearby facility like a "Basic Industry Facility." You can then route the material normally to the launchpad or storage and the facility in between should show "Transiting" when looking at the routes tab. This saves you some power on the links and in some cases maybe just enough to get an extra extractor head, this especially helps in larger planets. This will work on any building as long as the facility in between connects the two links.
